Rubén Lara
Born in Málaga in 1993. At the early age of 9, he began his musical training, focusing on flamenco guitar, taking lessons from some of the most renowned masters of the Málaga guitar scene. Showing a deep interest in flamenco, by the age of 17 he started performing at festivals and was invited to share the stage and tour with major artists such as Israel Fernández, Miguel Poveda, Argentina, and David Palomar, among others. Today, he is considered one of the breakout guitarists of his generation, thanks to his blend of classical training and contemporary musical approaches, giving him a unique sound of his own.
Jesús Bachiller “Bachi”
Born in Málaga in 1988, Jesús Bachiller “Bachi” began his musical journey inspired by his grandfather Emilio Bachiller. A bassist with electrifying energy, Bachi masterfully navigates through genres from Flamenco to Jazz, including Timba and Black Music, always adding his own unique personality. In 2013, he recorded his first album, Bachi Reunión, in Barcelona. He has collaborated with artists such as Jerry González, Diego el Cigala, Alain Pérez, Munir Hossn, Jorge Pardo, Juan Carmona, and Duquende, among others.
Miguel “Nene”
Miguel Ortíz Ruvira “El Nene”, born in Marbella (Málaga) on August 10, 1985.
He began his professional career at a very young age; by 16, he was already performing in well-known tablaos in the Málaga area. He continued to develop as a musician and percussionist, eventually working with prestigious national and international dance companies.
He has accompanied prominent dancers such as David Paniagua, Pol Vaquero, Alfonso Losa, Nino de Los Reyes, La Truco, Pepa Molina, and Moisés Navarro, among others.
As a singer’s accompanist, he has worked with renowned flamenco singers including Rubio de Pruna, David de Jacoba, Rafael de Utrera, Arcángel, La Tana, Montse Cortés, La Fabi, and Amparo la Rempompa.
He has also performed with top guitarists like Enrique del Melchor, Daniel Casares, and José Manuel León.
Currently, he collaborates as a guest artist with several philharmonic orchestras, including those of Málaga and Córdoba.
He also performs in jazz trios and with other musical artists such as Jorge Pardo and Jesús Bachiller “Bachi” in his septet.
Antonio Luque (Canito)
Born in Cártama (Málaga) in 1991, Antonio’s passion for flamenco began in childhood. He frequented flamenco clubs in Málaga with his father from a very young age, listening to the artists who passed through. His desire to learn was so strong that by age 4, he was already singing fandangos and bulerías naturally. At 5, he made his first stage appearance at the Torre del Cante Festival.
By the age of 10, he was performing at major flamenco clubs such as El Gallo in Morón, Antonio Chacón in Jerez, Juan Breva in Málaga, and Torres Macarena in Seville.
At 12, he won second prize in the under-25 category at the Málaga City Contest, and a special award at the Castañetas Contest in Málaga.
At 17, he moved to Seville to continue his training, where he specialized in singing for dance at José Galván’s school and his private company, with Yolanda Lorenzo and Miguel Vargas.
Soon, he began working with many dancers as a supporting singer, including Lucía la Piñona, Trinidad Santiago “La Trini,” Sergio Aranda, Miguel Vargas, Carmen Ríos, Cristóbal García, Adrián Santana, Isaac de los Reyes, Rafael Amargo, Nino de los Reyes, Carmen la Talegona, Karime Amaya, Concha Jareño, Juan de Juan, and Águeda Saavedra.
He has participated in the Málaga Biennial, accompanying artists such as Luisa Chicano, Trinidad Santiago, Sergio Aranda, Adrián Santana, and Mercedes de Córdoba. He also performed at the Seville Biennial with Esperanza Fernández and guitarist Juan Requena.
Antonio has participated in shows and recordings with esteemed guitarists such as Chaparro de Málaga, Camarón de Pitita, Francisco Vinuesa, Rubén Lara, Joni Jiménez, and Miguel Ángel Cortés.
He has performed as a solo flamenco singer in numerous festivals across Málaga and other provinces in Andalusia, with a recent highlight being his performance at the Festival Flamenco de la Torre del Cante in Alhaurín de la Torre (Málaga).
