✦ Art installation
At Wakana Reunion 2025, Penela presents a new site-specific work, created in intimate dialogue with the land, the cycles, and waste transformed into beauty. An invitation to inhabit art as a sacred and regenerative act.
Penela (Eklektika) is a multidisciplinary artist who fuses art, spirituality, and nature in immersive installations that awaken the senses and foster a deep connection with the environment. Through her project Eklektika, she creates poetic and symbolic worlds where ritual beauty and ecological awareness go hand in hand.
She was the creative director of Wakana Reunion during its early years, shaping the festival’s visual and atmospheric identity. She is also the mind behind the dreamlike decorations of the Mandrake Hotel in London, known for their mystical sophistication and organic connection.
All her installations are crafted from recycled and reclaimed materials, reaffirming her radical commitment to sustainability. One iconic example is her fabric tree, built entirely from discarded fabric samples from curtain and furniture stores—forgotten fragments that she transforms into a soulful textile forest filled with memory.
