Xinobi is a part of a generation that grew up within the music-blog eruption fueled by Do It Yourself ethics.

In 2017 he released his sophomore ALBUM “On the Quiet” up-fronted by the lead hit single “Far Away Place” and the spiritual “Searching For” in collaboration with Lazarusman. The album is dance floor-focused story about the transition of many electronic musicians from punk rock and skateboarding into house music and about how dance-music can be a field for social conscious awareness.

In the following years he grew his catalog with several Eps and remixes released on Anjunadeep, MoBlack, Radiant. and his own Discotexas plus three Remixes EP featuring names such as Rampa, Tensnake, Jody Wisternoff, James Grant, Kraak & Smaak, Pete Herbert and Ali Kuru. 2019 saw him collaborating with one of the most important contemporary Fado singers – Gisela João – for the monumental “Fado Para Esta Noite”, as well as new Eps: “Piano Lessons”, “Criaturas” (With Mystery Affair), and the writing of the original soundtrack of the acclaimed portuguese TV Series “Luz Vermelha”. 2020 was a strong year despite the unfortunate pandemics with tons of releases and collaborations with Matthias Meyer, Ivy, Lazarusman, Vaarwell and extended to 2021 with a beautiful reedition of “On the Quiet” with a lot of bonus tracks, a new EP on Kadosh’s Frau Blau, remixes on The Gardens of Babylon and on Stavroz’s Moodfamily, Madorasindahouse and the first singles of its forthcoming album due to release in 2022. With such a strong output he gained a real recognition among established and well-known artists and opinion-makers, and his underground cult become ampler. Idiosyncratic really retain attention as some of his remixes show ability to re-arrange amazing music into a whole new universe. His remixes, edits and reworks can tell. We’ve seen him doing it for artists such as O Terno, Joris Voorn, Moullinex, Luca Musto, Crooked Colors, Nicolas Jaar, The Avener, John Grant, Kraak n’ Smaak, Toro Y Moi, Riva Starr, Agnes Obel and Kris Menace.

Despite Xinobi’s appetite for devouring various genres, there is a unique watermark and consistency to his output, due not least to his musical and arrangement-based skills. Together with his friends and work-partners Moullinex and Mr. Mitsuhirato he gave birth to the still-growing-influent Discotexas.
