What is nature?

Naturaesencia is born from the dream of a nurse to improve the health of people by helping nature to achieve it, making the person recover his Essence.

After many years practicing as a nurse in a hospital environment and witnessing the suffering of many people I ask myself more and more questions: Are there other ways of taking care of health other than with pills, intravenous drugs and bloody techniques?

Sometimes to relieve a sick person it is only necessary to listen attentively, look him in the eyes and hold his hand. I do not mean by this that there should not be conventional medicine, much less, if not that we are forgetting in our system other forms of less aggressive therapies that in many cases could avoid drugs. If our health system gave more importance to the population's eating habits, mental health, exercise, contact with nature, it would save a lot of money to treat diseases. For me it is of vital importance that techniques are incorporated with scientific evidence such as aromatherapy, mindfulness, acupuncture, yoga, massage, proper nutrition, psychological care or art therapy.

I also believe that the patient has forgotten to listen to his body and dumps all the responsibility on the health care provider, when in many cases changing something in his lifestyle could solve the problem that has led to the doctor.

Fortunately, there are already many scientific bodies that share this vision and integrative medicine is making its way into conventional medicine. Today, many nursing and medicine colleges include in their curricula basic training in integrative medicine, such as at Harvard Medical School or Boston University School of Medicine, just to name a few.

The best hospitals worldwide also offer their patients integrative medicine services such as Mayo Clinic's in Minnesota, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, Royal Marsden in London or Royal Prince Alfred's hospital in Sydney. These services offer therapies such as massage, acupuncture, diet, yoga, music therapy or meditation.

Naturaesencia is born from this integrating vision in order to bring complementary therapies to the population from a scientific but warm and human approach at the same time.

For all this I would like to offer you from Naturaesencia therapies that can help you improve and preserve your health: aromatherapy, Ayurvedic massage and advice, and oncological massage.

What is aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy is the art of caring for and treating with essential oils (AE).

The term "aromatherapy" did not appear until 1930, being a branch of phytotherapy (use of products of plant origin for therapeutic purposes)

What are essential oils? Essential oils are odorous and volatile particles of plants extracted by distillation or pressure (most common methods although there are others).

They are very potent plant extracts, with multiple properties such as: antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, analgesic, healing, anti-inflammatory, anti-hemorrhagic, expectorant, mucolytic, etc.

Taking into account its extraordinary richness in different biochemical molecules, often more than 200, each essential oil usually has several properties (for example, Lavandula angustifolia is calming, sedative, muscle relaxant, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antiseptic and healing).

How to get my oil? In my stand you will find a brochure in which to consult all the formulas that I offer and if you are interested in any I will prepare it for you there. I do not carry the elaborated mixtures since these are elaborated in a personalized way. Prices vary depending on the essential oils and vegetables used and the size of the bottle. You will have all the prices detailed in the brochure.

Margarita de Miguel Luke. I am a nurse, qualified since 1996. I have worked in public and private hospitals, national and abroad, in very varied services that have given me a wide knowledge of the different medical specialties and their treatments.

I also worked as a field nurse with the NGO Médicos sin Fronteras in three projects in Africa: Sudan, displaced persons camp, Liberia, Maternal and Child Hospital and Angola, cholera epidemic; realizing a dream that I had since I was a child. This stage contributed in my life essential values and above all it taught me to appreciate life even more.

Since 2000 I work in the Costa del Sol Hospital. In this hospital I have worked in several services, such as internal medicine, traumatology and surgery, where I took care of many oncological patients, in its pre and post-operative stage. I have been working in the UCI for 7 years.

I am qualified in oncological massage by the organization Oncology Massage Limited (ISMET school of Barcelona). This entity is recognized by the Society for Oncological Massage (S4OM), meeting its training standards. I am also an Ayurvedic masseur, trained at the Naturaclass school in Málaga and an aromatherapist, with training in general, pediatric, oncological and dermatological aromatherapy.

Currently my professional career is heading towards Integrative Medicine. If conventional medicine is combined with other therapies, such as diet, music therapy, aromatherapy, massage, proper exercise, mindfullnes, acupuncture, etc., the synergy between both can be extraordinary.
