Benalup Walls
Wakana Reunion, together with the Council of the province of Cádiz and the Council of the city of Benalup-Casas Viejas, organise BENALUP WALLS.

A return to the origins
The Project
Benalup Walls is a “spiral” project that seeks to rescue and defend art, history and culture as intangible heritage of the Natural Park of the Alcornocales and the town of Benalup-Casas Viejas through nature and contemporary art in all its forms. We call it “spiral” because art is present in this area since the beginning of times.
The first settlers from the region were already artists, so it is intended to create a helix where the art, music and prehistoric culture of the area re-emerge to our times through contemporary art; which, with the same presence, will be based on and fall back on its most primitive origins. “A return to the origins and the origins will come back to our times in a contemporary way”.
With the involvement of the renowned agency and art platform Ink and Movement, we will have from the 13th until the 19th May different artistic wall interventions in different spaces of the town, from artists such as: Spok Brillor / Franco Fasoli / Misterpiro / Printr
